I'm going through a bit of an experimental phase at the moment and there are a couple of things that I keep playing with. Still not 100% sure if they're working for me but thought you might enjoy the attempts :-)
Pattern Mixing
My first attempt was fairly mild, keeping the colours the same and working with one very subtle pattern. I've gone a step further this time! Different colours! Obvious patterns! And no, OK, I haven't accesorized and yes, I did actually wear my trainers. Oh come on, I'm pregnant and had miles to walk to the shops ;-)))
But, with some nice shoes and jewellry, I think it could be really nice!
Headscarf
Silk headscarves, while very often beautiful, don't stay in my hair without gallons of product. So, I put on my cotton, tie-died scarf that I bought in Japan yeeeeaaaaarrrs ago. Stayed in all day. I have one in purple too.
What do you think? Tell me about your current experiments!!

Project re-style 2: stamps (part 2)
My new morning project (read here): rejects from a stamp collection and frames from a charity shop. The framing proved MUCH more difficult than I thought, so I cheated and split the project into 2 phases.
I blew up (photocopied, people, photocopied) my collection of edible and poisionous mushroom stamps from the DDR (1980 - aren't they cool???), and made an amateur attempt at paper cutting them out:
That act was inspired by this book. Phenomenal. Have a look at Hino Aoyama or Peter Callesen, and watch my attempts melt into insignificance :-)
Ta ra, what do you think?

Getting Bigger...
... or did my t-shirt shrink in the wash? I seriously asked myself that this morning. Well, it's one or the other.
I'm in a bit of a disorganized rush today and it's not because I have too much to do. Not to worry, my fuzzy hairdo (photo 2) is perfectly reflecting my state of mind so everything's matching.
I know what you're thinking though. My tights are too dark. They're the only Mummy tights I have (you know the ones with the ginormous bellies) and it's fe-reeezing (11°C!!!). Once again, dear readers, another little luxury getting in the way of a tremendous blog shot (read here).
I hope you like my brooch, bag and red shoes as much as I do... and that you're having a clear-minded, focussed kind of a day :-)

Project re-style 2: stamps (part 1)
My new morning project (read here): rejects from a stamp collection and frames from a charity shop. The framing is proving a little more difficult than I thought, so am (cheating) splitting this up into 2 phases. What do you think so far?
I've also got some random getting dressed moments from this week:
I think I look tired; but I suppose that's what pregnancy does to you.
Have a fab weekend everyone.
